1. How do communication practices in the online environment correlate to effective feedback?  Because these classes are online, written feedback is of the utmost importance. This is one of the primary means of communication with students. Therefore, teachers must use this tool effectively by making the feedback specific, personal and authentic. Additionally, this feedback should be prompt and thoughtful to have the most impact on student learning and achievement. 
2. Why is authentic feedback important for online learners? Effective feedback is specific, personal and differentiated. Students will receive the most benefit from feedback that is authentic and relevant to the assignment. After receiving authentic feedback, students will be able to reflect and improve.
3. In what ways might an instructor enrich a student’s online experience through feedback?  There are several ways of enriching a student's online experience. The first is to provide online resources and webpages to help clarify specific parts of the assignment. For example, if a student struggles with vocabulary, a quizlet site would be beneficial. If a student needs additional information on verb conjugation, then a site with examples and online practice would help the student. An online power point or presentation is helpful as well. Feedback that is personalized helps students improve and succeed in an online class.
